Tom Getz
Tom is our token old dude. After working as a lawyer in a San Diego law firm for a few years he finally got his priorities straight and moved to Jackson Hole. Despite being a little poorer since the move, he hasn’t looked back. Once New Spool goes global he might give up the law life for good, but for now the day job remains. Oh, and anyone looking to trade legal services for fishing trips should give New Spool a call… the Seychelles sound nice right about now.
Greg VanGilder
The last time a fishermen came into the fly shop where Greg worked and asked what time he should be fishing, Greg responded “Any time before ten… or after”. When the gentlemen asked what he should use that day, Greg replied “Skill.” Greg doesn’t work there anymore. He roles posse deep with NSP. Although his sarcasm is not well received by everyone, Greg’s charm, smile and happy-go-ludacris attitude make him a swell boat partner.
Matt Getz
Big fish and deep snow are the two reasons Matt moved away from the east coast. He grew up in Vermont and New Hampshire and graduated from the University of Vermont in 2005. He has been fortunate enough to fish and snowboard all over the world but has been most happy with his relocation to Jackson, Wyoming. On one of his extreme rampages, Matt became the first person EVER to associate the word gnar with fly fishing and is constantly in a state of core.
Brad VanGilder
Growing up in a family with an addiction is trying even for the strongest of individuals, and it’s always the children who suffer most. As a child Brad was dragged around the country to satiate his parents’ ugly monster, Fly Fishing. BRAD NEVER STOOD A CHANCE! If he could have somehow channeled his energy instead of wasting it to addiction, he would most likely be an astronaut or a part time model.
Brad is with NSP now; he’s happy, safe, and extremely popular!
