About New Spool Productions
After years of talk and little action, it appeared as though the concept of New Spool Productions (NSP) would smolder and die out under the pressure of our busy lives. In 2007 Tom decided to leave his job in California, Greg and Matt were politely asked to resign from their respective jobs in Jackson, and Brad finally got around to graduating college. Call it circumstance or call it destiny, with new perspectives on life and the motivation to create, NSP was born and rose like a phoenix from the ashes of our employment.
We are a group of friends united by a passion for fly-fishing, film and bringing the funny. Although our day jobs range from fishing guide to cook to litigation attorney, we are all happiest when in the wilderness ripping lips. We started NSP as a way to share our passion for fly-fishing with the masses. We are fly-fishing populists.
The days of fly-fishing being seen as recreation for the upper class are coming to a long awaited demise. The growing attitude of inclusiveness amongst fly-fishermen has inspired a wave of media and entertainment showcasing the excitement, culture, and environmental conciousness that are the backbone of our sport. We fully endorse this new direction and are here to play our part.
